As hands-on business builders, we believe there are opportunities to create disproportionate value by selectively partnering with entrepreneurs and inventors to cofound companies around compelling healthcare technologies. These are typically capital-efficient opportunities addressing important unmet clinical or operational needs with simple, elegant solutions and the potential to create new categories of care. We proactively identify opportunities through our network of entrepreneurs, inventors, clinicians and industry partners. In collaboration with our cofounding partners and supported by our network of experienced MedTech operators and clinical experts, we methodically evaluate the underlying technology, clinical need, market opportunity and path to commercialization. For opportunities that meet our criteria, we help build the management team, capitalize the business and play an active ongoing role to ensure the company has the resources, access and strategic guidance necessary to achieve critical milestones.
