Pierpoint is a highly selective investor and company-building partner. We focus on differentiated medical technologies addressing important unmet needs where our capital, experience and network can meaningfully influence the trajectory of a company. Depending on the opportunity, we may invest in an existing company, partner with founders at an early stage, or cofound and capitalize a new company around a compelling technology. In each case, we develop a deep understanding of the clinical need, technology, market opportunity and path to commercialization, and determine where Pierpoint can add meaningful value. Our involvement is tailored to the needs of each company. We may serve on the board, help recruit leadership, shape clinical and commercial strategy, support future financings, develop strategic relationships or, when appropriate, take a more active role in building the business. We complement this involvement with access to a network of accomplished MedTech executives, operators, clinicians and industry leaders. We invest with a long-term perspective and measure our success by the enduring companies we help build.
